Upon receiving the new cloth belt, he was very pleased and grateful. He was indeed relieved because he was able to dress decently and concentrate on his mission. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again the next morning and he kept on mumbling to himself.

This time, his kind neighbor gave him another cloth belt and at the same time gave him a cat to take care of the rats. How kind and considerate his neighbor was! That cat really did a good job by keeping the rats away and his cloth belt remained safe from destruction. But then, another problem arose because he needed milk to feed the cat. His observant neighbor immediately realized this need and kindly gave him some milk to feed the cat.

The cultivator was embarrassed and told himself that he should not always depend on his neighbor to feed the cat everyday and so he discussed with his neighbor. The generous and kind neighbor then gave him a cow so that he could get milk for the cat without having to worry anymore about where to get the milk. By then, he not only had a cloth belt but a cat and a cow to take care.
